As the first Danish company, The Private Doctor now launches a private on-call service for companies who want to provide their employees with this tax-free* benefit.
The Private Doctor's Corporate Plan is first and foremost the employees' shortcut to a faster diagnosis and a better treatment. The health, security and satisfaction of the employees is in the best interest of all companies. We believe, that The Private Doctor's Corporate Plan can affect all three factors in a positive way and even contribute to the lowering of the sickness absence.

The Private Doctors' Corporate Plan is built upon the tested and successful concept of the Private Doctor, which has been in effect for the past five years: The seven days a week on-call doctor service from 8am to midnight. The patient immediately reaches the doctor on call, who will be at the patients' residence within the hour, no questions asked. Read more here.

When a company enters into an agreement with The Private Doctor, the employees are equipped with a credit card sized membership card on which instructions for using The Private Doctor's Corporate Plan are printed.
What's the price and how does the company control the usage?
Companies whose employees live in Region Hovedstaden (Copenhagen plus outskirts) can utilize the Business Service. According to the Tax Assessment Act, all employees must be offered the plan. The service does not cover other members of the employees' household. The Private Doctor bills the company on a monthly or quarterly basis, in accordance with further agreement. The price per visit depends on the employees home address, e.g. 1400 DKK plus added fees for inoculations, blood samples or referrals for residents of Copenhagen City or Frederiksberg. The Company can choose to specify a yearly maximum consumption amount for the entire company. The Private Doctor will then notify the company if the limit is about to be exceeded. As an alternative, the company can determine a maximum number of on-call visits per employee per year.

* According to a decision from the National Tax Board on December 21 2010, employees can utilize a private on-call service free of taxes cf §30 of the Tax Assessment Act. Also, the board decided that treatment at private specialists and private clinics are free of taxes if the employee has been referred by The Private Doctor.
